U.S.-based movie exhibitor Cinemark has been outperforming its peers, and leverage has declined. We are revising our 'B+' rating outlook on the company to positive from stable. The positive outlook reflects the potential for the rating to be upgraded if we become convinced that the company can maintain leverage around 5x with adequate liquidity. NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 29, 2010--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its rating outlook on Plano, Texas-based Cinemark Holdings Inc. and its operating subsidiary, Cinemark Inc., to positive from stable.
