Abstract Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' long-term rating, and stable outlook, to Bryan, Texas' series 2009 combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating and Standard & Poor's underlying rating (SPUR) on the city's general obligation (GO) debt and certificates of obligation. The ratings reflect our view of the city's: Stable regional economy, anchored by the presence of Texas A&M University in neighboring College Station and Blinn Junior College in Bryan; Very strong financial position; and Strong financial management practices.
