Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating, and stable outlook, to Isle of Wight County, Va.'s series 2010A general obligation (GO) public improvement bonds and its 'SP-1+' short-term rating to the county's series 2010B GO public improvement notes (bond anticipation notes). At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA-' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR), with a stable outlook, on the county's existing debt.
