Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its underlying rating (SPUR) on Iberia Parishwide School District, La.'s general obligation (GO) debt to 'A+' from 'A-' based on the maintenance of strong financial reserves and continued expansion of the property tax base. In addition, Standard & Poor's assigned its 'A+' standard long-term rating to the district's $7 million series 2009 GO school bonds. The ratings reflect our view of the district's: Steady tax base expansion and strong performance of sales tax collections, Very strong financial position; and Low overall debt levels and modest future capital needs.
