Abstract Over the past few months, natural events have dealt U.S. property/casualty (P/C) insurers a few wild cards. The major natural catastrophes--primarily winter storms, hail and heavy rains, and tornadoes--that have hit the U.S. this year have the potential to hurt insurers' operations and financial results. However, the full impact of these events remains uncertain, and so far, they have not been significant enough to alter the course of the pricing cycle.
