Bulletin: Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission's Plum Point Bond Rating Unaffected By Kennett Move Jun 11

Abstract DALLAS (Standard & Poor's) June 16, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today there will likely be no credit impact from the city of Kennett, Mo.'s assignment of its 20-megawatt (MW) capacity allocation of the Plum Point Energy Station back to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission (MJMEUC). MJMEUC, a joint action agency, issued revenue bonds to finance its 147-MW share of the Plum Point Energy Station, a coal-fired power plant that in late 2010 became commercially operational in southeastern Arkansas. We currently rate MJMEUC's Plum Point-related revenue bonds 'BBB' with a stable outlook.
