Corporate credit rating BBB+/Positive/A-2 The ratings and outlook on GATX Corp. and subsidiary GATX Capital Corp. remain the same after the announcement that the first phase of a trial in which GATX Capital is party to litigation concluded on Feb. 16, 2001. The jury found GATX Capital/Airlog, in which GATX Capital is a partner, breached its warranties under applicable aircraft modification agreements and fraudulently failed to disclose information to operators of the modified aircraft. GATX Capital has already reached a settlement for five of the aircraft, with damages to be determined on the other five within the next few weeks.
