Abstract CHICAGO (Standard & Poor's) June 17, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its underlying rating (SPUR) on Buffalo County, Neb.'s general obligation (GO) debt one notch to 'A+' from 'A' based on Standard & Poor's assessment of the county's strong cash position and additional cash reserves available for general operations in the inheritance fund. The outlook is stable. 'We believe management will likely continue to take the necessary steps to maintain balanced operations and, what we consider, strong cash reserves while maintaining sizable reserves in the inheritance fund,' said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Linda Merus.
