1. Standard & Poor's Ratings Services is refining and adapting its assumptions for credit stress testing German banks. We are publishing this article to help market participants better understand our approach to credit loss assumptions in analyzing and stress testing German banks. This article is related to our criteria article 'Credit Stress Testing For Financial Institutions,' which we published on April 29, 2009, and is also related to 'Determining Credit Loss Assumptions For German Banks,' published Aug. 21, 2009. 2.
