LONDON (Standard & Poor's) March 13, 2003--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today it affirmed its 'A-' long-term corporate credit and senior unsecured debt ratings, and its 'A-2' short-term corporate credit and commercial paper ratings, on Telenor ASA, following a review of the Norway-based telecommunications operator. The outlook is stable. "The ratings reflect the continued strength of the domestic fixed-line and mobile operations, which generated about 67% of group EBITDA for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2002, combined with improved domestic cash flow primarily due to reduced capital expenditure", said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Simon Redmond.
