AerFi Group PLC Ratings Placed on CreditWatch Positive Sep 00

Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Sept. 22, 2000--Standard & Poor's today placed its corporate credit rating on AerFi Group PLC on CreditWatch with positive implications following announcement of a proposed $750 cash million acquisition by debis AirFinance NV (not rated). Also placed on CreditWatch is the senior unsecured debt rating on debt issued by GPA Holland BV and guaranteed by AerFi (see list below). Shannon, Ireland based AerFi, formerly GPA Group Ltd., is a medium-size provider of aircraft operating leases. Debis AirFinance, based near Amsterdam, The Netherlands, is a rapidly growing aircraft operating lessor, with 45% ownership by various entities of DaimlerChrysler AG (A+/Stable/A-1), 15% owned by Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale(AAA/Negative/A-1+), 10% owned by Deutsche Genossenschafts-Hypothekenbank AG (A/Stable/A-1), 15% owned...
