BULLETIN: Continued Form 10-Q Filing Delay Could Be Unfavorable For AES Corp. Jan 06

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 9, 2006-The AES Corp. (B+/Positive/--) announced on Friday, Jan. 6, 2005 that it had received notice from the trustee under indentures governing the company's outstanding senior unsecured notes, senior subordinated notes, and junior subordinated convertible notes that the company is not in compliance with reporting requirements under the indentures due to the company's failure to timely file Form 10-Q for the quarters ended June 30, 2005 and Sept. 30, 2005. If AES fails to file the reports by Feb. 28, 2006, an event of default will occur under the indentures. AES also stated that it did not expect this to adversely affect the company because it expects to make the required filings by Jan....
