2010 MPS Software Tools Study Phase 3: Document Management-Workflow and Secure Print

The objective for this report is to provide an unbiased review of MPS software solutions with regard to functionality and the user experience. These results are intended to assist MPS decision makers, dealers and other major players in the MPS industry, when evaluating potential service capabilities and offerings by providing a broad view of the capabilities and usability for each of the solutions. This report focuses on software tools involved in document management, workflow and document security.
The 2010 MPS Software Tools Study – Phase 3 report studied tools from six software vendors who supply products that focus on security, document capture, document management and document workflow. The tools selected for this study are all marketed by independent software providers including Ringdale, Perceptive Software, Equitrac, Nuance (eCopy), SafeCom and DocuWare.
The objective of this study was to examine each of the software offerings in a testing lab to illustrate the functionality and user experience in a real-world setting. Photizo identified the focus areas for the study: Secure Printing, Document Management, and Document Workflow.
The study looked at the following areas: marketing strategy, architecture, compatibility/integration, functionality and usability
