Dairy Packaging in Germany

Rising per capita consumption drove growth in overall dairy packaging. According to the Milk Industry Association (Milchindustrie Verband – MIV), the per capita consumption of dairy products continued to rise steadily over the review period. There was a slight dampening of growth in 2009, but the general economic recovery seen in 2010 also benefited dairy products, and enabled rigid plastic, liquid cartons and paper-based containers to see overall growth rates of 1%.
