The Turkish construction industry rebounded strongly in 2010 with a growth of XX.XX%, after recording a decline of XX.XX% in 2009, although the base effect meant that growth figures for FY2010 appeared even stronger in comparison with 2009, when the global financial crisis affected the industry. Prior to this, the industry grew at a CAGR of XX.XX% during 2006–2008. During this period, growth was supported by numerous factors such as a growing young population, increased economic stability, decreasing exchange and interest rates and attractive long-term loans that made the country an attractive destination for construction development.
