ALIS Finance Insured Notes Assigned Preliminary 'AAA' Ratings Jun 02

Abstract PARIS (Standard & Poor's) June 19, 2002--Standard & Poor's said today that it assigned its triple-'A' preliminary ratings to ALIS Finance a.r.l.'s (ALIS Finance) insured notes for -80 million, -180 million, and -200 million, due in 2017, 2027, and 2032, respectively. ALIS Finance is a special-purpose entity, incorporated in the U.K. Channel Island of Jersey, which provides the funding for the ALIS S.A. consortium to construct and operate the A28 toll road from Rouen to Alen-on in France. The French state granted this concession to ALIS S.A. pursuant to a concession agreement entered into force on Dec. 2, 2001.
