Baglan Moor Healthcare PLC's ?65.9 million Bond Assigned 'AAA' Rating May 00

Abstract LONDON (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) May 15, 2000--Standard & Poor's today assigned its triple-'A' long-term insured bond rating to Baglan Moor Healthcare PLC's (Baglan Moor) -65.9 million (about US$99 million) secured guaranteed bond issue, due 2029. This is the first Welsh public finance initiative (PFI) deal rated by Standard & Poor's. The funds will be used to finance the design and construction of a new 270-bed local general hospital in Baglan, Wales, providing an important healthcare facility for the counties involved.
