Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating to Cook County School District No. 127.5 (Chicago Ridge), Ill.'s series 2011 general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. Also, we have affirmed our 'AA-' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's existing debt. The rating outlook is stable. The rating reflects our assessment of the district's: Participation in the deep and diverse Chicago metropolitan economy, Good income indicators with adequate market value per capita, Sound financial operations with very strong cash reserves, and Moderate overall net debt burden in terms of market value.
