Abstract
On Aug. 2, 2011, we revised our outlook on Volkswagen AG to stable from negative and affirmed the long- and short-term ratings. Volkswagen Insurance Co. (VICO) qualifies as a captive insurer of parent Volkswagen under our criteria. We are therefore revising our outlook on VICO to stable from negative and affirming our 'A-' ratings on VICO. These rating actions are not due to any changes to the stand-alone characteristics of the company and are in lock step with its parent, Volkswagen. The stable outlook is the same as the outlook on Volkswagen.
