Abstract
We are affirming our 'AAA' long-term issuer credit rating on the City of Brampton. The rating reflects our opinion of the city's lack of direct debt, strong liquidity, and solid economic fundamentals. The stable outlook reflects our expectation that Brampton will maintain its debt-free status and solid liquidity position over our two-year rating horizon by continuing to fund capital expenditures internally. On Aug. 5, 2011, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AAA' long-term issuer credit rating on the City of Brampton, in the Province of Ontario (AA-/Stable/A-1+). The outlook is stable.
