Journal of Care Services Management
Maney Publishing, June 2012
4 issues per year. Journal of Care Services Management serves all those directly involved in, or concerned with, the organisation, delivery, and management of care services, at a strategic and operational level.
In recognition of the increasing emphasis being placed both on person-centred care and on integration of care service organisation and delivery, the Journal's scope addresses issues of concern to service commissioners and care service providers – whether in the statutory, voluntary or commercial sectors – and seeks to cover management of the full range of care services including care and nursing homes, extra care and supported housing, respite care and domiciliary care.
The Journal's content addresses the diverse range of disciplines that care services management draws upon, including: new and emerging policy and the implications for management; cost-effective and efficient delivery of services; strategic partnerships in the commissioning of care services; business development for care service providers; funding and finance; taxation planning and allowances; insurance; assessment and inspection procedures; care regulation and managing care standards compliance; maintaining data sets for social care; service user assessment and risk assessment; dementia care; palliative care; service user abuse; staff recruitment, retention and training; staff supervision, appraisal and monitoring; hygiene and infection control; catering standards and nutrition; building design; marketing; public, community and media relations.
