The supply of platinum from South Africa in 2010 was broadly consistent with supply in 2009, although mined output and actual refined platinum production in the country increased for the year. Supplies from the country were less than production, although, as much of the production took place in the latter part of the year, not all the refined metal had been shipped by year-end.
