Research Update: Plurinational State of Bolivia Outlook Revised To Positive; 'B+/B' Ratings Affirmed Aug 11

Abstract
Recently announced large infrastructure and investment projects, if implemented, could benefit Bolivia's growth prospects and external indicators significantly. As a result, we have revised our outlook on Bolivia to positive from stable. At the same time, we have affirmed the 'B+/B' sovereign credit ratings on Bolivia. On Aug. 22, 2011, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on its foreign- and local-currency ratings on the Plurinational State of Bolivia's to positive. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'B+' long-term and 'B' short-term foreign- and local-currency sovereign credit ratings on Bolivia. We revised the outlook to reflect the possibility of an upgrade if planned new investment in the mining and gas sectors leads to better economic growth...
