On July 25, 2011, we raised our sovereign credit rating on Uruguay to 'BB+' from 'BB'. We are raising our long-term counterparty credit rating on BBVA Uruguay to 'BB+' from 'BB' and raising the national scale rating to 'uyAAA' from 'uyAA+'. We are also affirming the short-term rating at 'B'. The stable outlook reflects our expectation that BBVA Uruguay will increase its intermediation activities in Uruguay, given the bank's active management strategy.
