Abstract
The ratings on U.K.-based Experian Finance PLC, the wholly owned subsidiary of international information services provider Experian Group Ltd., reflect the company's participation in the information services industry, which has good medium-term growth prospects; its strong operating track record; and its high profitability. The ratings are constrained by Experian's moderate financial policy. Standard & Poor's Ratings Services expects that Experian will use most of the financial headroom at the rating level for acquisition funding or to implement shareholder friendly measures. At the end of March 2008, total reported debt was $2.9 billion. With revenues from continuing operations of about $4.1 billion in the year ended March 31, 2008, and adjusted EBITDA margins of about 30%, Experian is a highly profitable...
