TOKYO (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 22, 2006--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today said that there would be no impact on its ratings on Mitsubishi Corp. (A/Stable/A-1) and Mitsui & Co. Ltd. (A/Stable/A-1) following the announcement on Dec. 21, 2006, that the two companies and Netherlands-based Royal Dutch Shell PLC (AA/Stable/A-1+) would transfer slightly over 50% of their stake in Sakhalin Energy Investment Co. to Russia's OAO Gazprom (BBB/Stable/--) for about $7.45 billion.
