E-Learning Module: Valves

This CompuPharma Module is ideal for people who are new or existing employees of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and Biotech sectors, and who require a good basic understanding of the equipment used in API and Biotech Manufacture. In the Module the different types of valves used in a pharmaceutical plant are explained.

- Describe how both ball and butterfly valves work - Explain how a pressure relief valve works - Explain how a reciprocating stem valve works - Explain the purpose of valves in product transfer - List the advantages and disadvantages of ball and butterfly valves - List the advantages and disadvantages of reciprocating stem valves - List the two types of non-return valves and describe some of their common problems - Name the two different types of control valves - Name the two main categories of valves
This is a self paced highly visual interactive e-Learning Module, with a full audio voiceover, which can be taken online. It has a 16 question multiple choice Assessment which the Trainee can perform once they have completed the module. For the Certified option, a hard copy certificate is mailed to the Trainee, once they have achieved a score of 100% in their Assessment.
