Research has shown that in manufacturing environments depending on critical Web-based application services, 50% of their external customers and partners, and 56% of their external suppliers expect to receive data on shared application performance - in terms of quality, downtime, and real or possible issues! This is well above average for other verticals and suggests that application performance in the manufacturing industry is overall very much a shared concern. And the trend going forward will only make it more so, as 75% of manufacturing respondents anticipate becoming more proactive in sharing application performance information in the future with external customers, with significant percentages for suppliers and partners as well.
