Convenience Store News - Realities of the Aisle Consumer Study

The most frequent shoppers of c-stores are still young and male, according to the 2010 Realities of the Aisle consumer study by Convenience Store News. And, after gasoline, the most cited reason for going to a convenience store is to buy beverages, said consumers in this study of 1,085 adults who shopped at a c-store within the past month.
The report looks at the when, why and what of consumer shopping habits at c-stores, as well as how consumers shop specific product categories. Total report (includes parts 1 and 2) is 8 pages and includes 23 tables of data.
According to exclusive new consumer research conducted by Convenience Store News this year, consumers most often go to c-stores to buy gasoline, followed by beverages, snacks and lottery tickets.
