The report focuses on options digital content providers have to monetize their content.
Traditionally, digital content providers were not able to run a profitable business. Today, digital content providers have found unique ways to monetize their content. This report analyses different ways content providers manage to finance their operations. At one point, a closer look will be taken at the music and newspaper industry, since the former has been a pioneer in adopting digital content and the latter is currently struggling with the transformation to digital. In addition, a model was developed that helps content providers decide which revenue sources to tap. Lastly, a closer look will be taken at the net neutrality debate since the content providers' role would change significantly with a change in the current system.
