(formerly known as Salton, Inc.) and Applica combined their businesses through a merger, as a result of which Applica became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Russell Hobbs, Inc. Furthermore, in June 2010, as a result of definitive agreement between Russell Hobbs, Inc. and Spectrum Brands, Inc., Applica became a wholly owned subsidiary of Spectrum Brands. The company is headquartered in Miramar, Florida, the US.
