In the context of a global economy still covering from the financial crisis, Qatar maintained expansion to become the world's fastest growing economy. Keeping to its economic diversification plan, Vision 2020, Qatar has continued expanding into sectors such as construction, financial services and manufacturing, all while keeping up with heavy investments in oil and gas.
