Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services is requesting comments on our proposed criteria revision for the rating methodology and assumptions on Australian residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). We expect to update the criteria after gathering feedback by Sept. 30, 2010 (see "Request for Comment: Rating Methodology And Assumptions For Australian RMBS", published Aug. 10, 2010). Since the release of the request for comment (RFC), for newly issued RMBS, we have included the possible credit enhancement levels in presale reports, after considering the impact of proposed criteria revisions. In response to market interest, we are now providing the possible credit enhancement levels of outstanding prime RMBS rated by Standard & Poor's under the proposed revision.
