Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A+' long-term rating to the Village of Bensenville, Ill.'s series 2011B alternate revenue source general obligation (GO) bonds and series 2011C and 2011D alternate revenue source GO refunding bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A+' underlying rating (SPUR) on the village's previously issued GO debt. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The rating reflects our view of the village's: Participation in the deep and diverse Chicago metropolitan area economy; Good income levels and extremely strong market value per capita; Improved reserve levels, with management projecting a general fund surplus for fiscal 2011; and Moderate debt burden as a percentage of market value, even after accounting for future debt plans.
