Appalachian Regional Healthcare Inc., KY Bond Rating Raised To 'BB' On Overall Strong Financial Profile Sep 11

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Sept. 14, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its long-term rating to 'BB' from 'BB-' on Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority's series 1997 revenue bonds, issued for Appalachian Regional Healthcare Inc. (ARH). 'The upgrade reflects our opinion of ARH's overall financial profile, which we consider strong for the rating, three years of improved operating results, and strong business position as a provider of services in a rural service area,' said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Jessica Goldman.
