NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Feb. 12, 1999--Standard & Poor's today assigned its double-'A' rating to Falmouth,Ma.'s $8.76 million GO bonds. The outlook is stable. The bonds are secured by an ad valerom tax pledge. The rating is derived from: -- A strong debt position; -- A growing, primarily residential tax base; -- Strong management; and -- Comfortable reserve levels. Falmouth is located on the southwest corner of Cape Cod, approximately 72 miles from Boston. The town is primarily a residential resort community with a highly stable summer population.
