With this book my aim is to provide an interesting reading for those who are excited about American culture. In our fast lives we tend to forget our interest in culture and sometimes we do not even know what we or other people are celebrating. I do belive that each culture has a lot to offer; and since the USA melts probably the most cultures in the world, we can find a wide variety of traditions if we look into their holidays.
I wanted to give details about historical backgrounds as well as expressing the feeling of the special days. You may find the most well-known holidays, like Independence Day or Thanksgiving but I also presented some less-known special days, like Cinco de Mayo or Groundhog Day.
This book can come in handy if we want to refresh our knowledge on American holidays or if somebody wants to get an idea of how it feels to celebrate with the Americans. So come, and let me guide you through the amazing world of holidays and start enjoying all the fun they offer.
