The study investigates the impacts of remittance to the villagers in the rural area, esp, female garment workers in KOMPONGSPEU province where the largest migrant female garment workers existed. It seeks to understand the uses of remittance, perceptions of parents and community, female recognitions, and behavior changes of parents and siblings toward the migration of daughter. With its key findings, remittances resulted positive and negative aspects to recipient families and solutions respond to financial shortage in the rural household. The leaving of daughters had brought values, respects and passions via remittances, more voice in decision making and seeking solutions in the household, better way of treating daughters and siblings in advance. Hence, it might not improve living conditions in poor households due to labour shortage and falling sick of garment workers, again remittances amount were less than expenditures, crop and animal failure.
