Assessment of the potential use of Excess Warehousing space of Spoornet ( Now known as Transnet Freight Rail) to support the IDZs in the Eastern Cape covers studies of Strategy, IDZs and world class warehousing. It also includes an empirical study and subsequent interpretation of the result received from the questionnaires. A short conclusion and recommendation is then finally drawn. This is however just the tip of an iceberg and is open for further study. All of this may lead to alleviate poverty in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
