DIVERISTY Managing diversity is about individuals. The concept of diversity represents the belief that people should be prized for their difference and variety. However, diversity often raises controversy and tension. When people think of diversity, the first thing that comes to their minds is ethnicity, race, and gender. Diversity is much broader than that. Therefore, organizations have been searching for diversity in their workplace for years, in order to achieve a particular challenge and to manage circumstances and operational contexts. Many managers find the need for accessing diverse talent and using new ideas and perspectives to obtain economic advantage in the market. However, there is a bigger issue regarding diversity: organizations need to be prepared to develop appropriate systems and management approaches to completely practice diversity. The human resources department of an organization should be the first one to recognize diversity and find the best approaches to work with it in order to not only continue to have it, but also to increase and achieve the organization's goals as well as strengthen the most important assets of the organization, the employees.
