Mathematics is interwoven into every aspect of our lives. The ability to solve problems using arithmetic is considered a basic life skill, along with the ability to read and write. Applied mathematics has been developed as a complete math course. It is particularly relevant to the needs of students in vocational and technical programs. Through the use of realistic applications, an understanding of the importance of math is developed. Skills in problem solving are also developed. Those skills can consist of solving word problems. This book can help students and workers answer the question, 'Where will I use this math concept?' In this book, you will find math problems, specifically, word problems for different levels of learning applied mathematics. Levels 1, 2, 3, and 5 have eight word problems and Level 4 has seven. Each level also has word problems with five choices that students and workers can select in finding the correct answer. At the end of all of the word problems, there is an answer key that lists the correct/incorrect responses to each word problem.
