Are you getting enough value from your PMP certified project managers? Many Chief Financial Officers (CFO) now require that Chief Information Officers (CIO) provide them with detailed information about ongoing IT projects, especially reports that reflect spending and project performance status. Additionally, various information technology publications discuss that management wants to see IT investments deliver what they promised in terms of tangible benefits at predicted costs. This study focuses on the outcome of projects managed by certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) and compares the project outcomes to non certified project managers. A quantitative study was performed using data from a global Fortune 500 IT Company.
