RIO CONVENTIONS in this case refers to UNFCCC,UNCCD and CBD.Tanzania has been experiencing environmental challenges, due to this the Government has taken some measures which due to some reasons explained in the book did not give the expected results.However through International Community initiative like Rio Conventions and other support Tanzania is taking significant steps towards combating environmental challenges through participatory interventions. These are expected to improve understanding and participation of communities in combating environmental challenges. In this text, the first chapter provides and introduction, second chapter gives the background of the study and literature review with an overview of the multilateral environmental agreements, third chapter is materials and methods, fourth chapter is dealing with the analysis of the data, fifth chapter gives the results, sixth chapter is on discussions and lastly the seventh chapter provides the conclusions and recommendations drawn from the study.
