Effects of N, P and FYM on Growth, Yield and Nutrient Uptake of Triticale. Edition No. 1
VDM Publishing House, November 2010, Pages: 88
Combinations of five rates of N/P (0/0, 16/5, 32/10, 48/15, & 64/20 kg/ha) & five rates of FYM (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 & 10 t/ha) were used as treatments. Main effects of N/P significantly influenced most agronomic parameters, growth, yield and yield components of triticale. However, FYM & its interaction with N/P did not significantly affect. Application of N/P rates at 48/15 kg/ha affected grain yield/ha significantly over lower rates. But further increase in N/P rates to 64/20 kg/ha did not increase yield significantly as compared to that at 48/15 kg/ha. Main effects of FYM and its interaction with fertilizer application did not affect yield levels significantly. N/P application rates revealed that concentration & uptake of N & P in triticale grain & straw increased with increasing levels of N & P. FYM application rates showed inconsistent concentration of N & P in the straw and grain. Maximum apparent fertilizer % N & P recovery was observed at 64 kg N & 15 kg P/ha. However, the highest agronomic efficiency were recorded at 48 & 15 kg N & P/ha. Similarly, the highest physiological efficiency was obtained at 48 and 15 kg N & P/ha.
