With the development of the world economy, the
situation of Energy Crisis and Environmental Impact
is serious. The high energy consumption and climate
change are being big challenges to human being’s
development. Many developed countries have been
leading the forefront in the energy efficient
buildings' development. China, as the biggest
building market now, is eager to apply their
experiences in Chinese development. The book presents
a general description of approaches to energy
efficient building development under Chinese
contexts. The approaches are classified into three
sets: administration, construction industry and
architectural design. China government has started
the progress to enhance energy efficiency. However,
this process will be tough and slow. The book
discusses Chinese special conditions and the problems
that cry out for solution in the future.
