Geophysical techniques can map the subsurface conditions apart from boreholes. These methods can be used for geophysical assessment of hydraulic properties and determination of aquifer geometry. Particularly, a description of electrical resistivity method used for quantitative groundwater resources assessment, supported by laboratory investigations for petrophysical properties to estimate groundwater reserve within the aquifer.

Hago Ali received a B.Sc. with Honor in Geology from University of Khartoum in 1992. In 1993 he enrolled AlNeelain University as Teaching Assistant. He received a M.Sc. in Geophysics from University Putra, Malaysia in 2000. Currently he is a PhD student at Technical University of Berlin-Germany.
