James Ouko Okumbe hails from Wagusu Village in Bondo
District in the Republic of Kenya. He is a leading
and recognized professional consultant, researcher
and academician who has practiced in the Botswana
construction industry for the last thirteen years in
the field of Quantity Surveying. He is currently a
Lecturer at Central University of Technology,South
Africa in
Quantity Surveying and Construction management. He
holds an MSc. degree in the Built Environment
(Construction Management). He is also a PhD scholar
in Quantity Surveying in the
University of the Free State. His researches have
been published on scholarly journals in Botswana,
South Africa, Europe, USA etc and are
available online.
He is the Managing Director of Jamax Consultants;
Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and
Construction Cost Consultants.
He is a member of the following professional bodies:
- Member of the Botswana Institute of
Arbitrators; (MBIArB)
- Member of Botswana Institute of Development
Professions;(MBIDP)
- Member of the South African Association of
Quantity Surveyors (MAQS);
