Space-Time Signal Processing for DS-CDMA Communication System. Edition No. 1

VDM Publishing House, July 2009, Pages: 224

Wireless cellular communication is one of the
largest markets in the world and it is still growing
rapidly. Currently, the cellular communication
system is moving toward high date rate transmission
and high spectrum efficiency. An attractive approach
is the CDMA technology. However, the capacity of a
CDMA cellular system is limited by two phenomena,
namely Multiuser Access Interference(MAI) and near-
far problem. Lots of researches have been conducted
to tackle these problems. Interference suppression
techniques such as adaptive antenna arrays and
multiuser detection (MUD) have been investigated to
overcome such problems. Adaptive antenna array has a
spatial filtering property, which makes it possible
to receive signal from a particular direction while
simultaneously blocking interferences from other
direction. Thus, adaptive antenna array is a very
promising solution to reduce MAI in the CDMA
communication system. The research presented in this
monograph is on the development of advanced receiver
algorithms with antenna arrays for DS-CDMA
communication system.

Anmin, Kong.
Anmin,Kong received the Ph.D degree in electrical and
electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University,
singapore in 2007. His current research interests include array
signal processing and its application in wireless communication,
MIMO system and its combination with OFDM.
