Platform-Specific Code Generation from TDL Components. Edition No. 1
VDM Publishing House, September 2009, Pages: 128
This work deals with the automated code generation for real-time applications based on the Timing Definition Language (TDL), which specifies the timing behavior of real-time software components. We propose a generic plug-in architecture and two concrete code generator plug-ins for the INtime platform respectively an OSEK/VDX compliant real- time operating system. We also elaborate how to harness established commercially available code generators to support the TDL tool-chain. We present contributions to the TDL tool-chain, which eases the development of deterministic hard real-time applications. The work is substantiated by a case study.
