In today’s dynamic and ever-changing economic landscape, supply chain management has emerged as a key factor influencing business decisions. With this boom in popularity of supply chain has also come a rise in the need for understanding of the enablers of supply chain contributing to firm performance, and very little academic literature exists on supply chain enablers for a better firm performance. Existing supply chain literature is no longer adequate, as industry specific enablers of supply chain needs to be developed due to the very nature of competitive forces shaping the firm performance. This book, therefore, provides a new approach of developing industry specific solutions to identify supply chain enablers. Findings from the study suggested, firms must understand their desired positioning in the industry and develop close collaboration with buyers. The analysis should help shed some light on this new and exciting approach on identifying and developing industry specific supply chain enablers contributing to competitive firm performance. The book should be especially useful to supply chain professionals and researchers.
